The Jericho House in Wolverhampton was opened in 1985 to provide a hostel for single homeless women. Father James Ferguson was invited to Wolverhampton by the late Bishop Cleary as there was no provision at that time in the town for single homeless women. The Haven was providing a service for women and their children but single females were not being catered for however due to such a high demand for refuge facilities and a massive increase in domestic violence we now give shelter to women and their dependent children.
